NAD – The Key to Cellular Energy
NAD is indispensable for life and is found in every cell in your body.
NAD is essential for ATP production ~ the energy currency of our cells ~ is a key molecule in cellular communication, activates pathways linked to longevity and slowed cellular aging, and helps to protect and maintain your DNA.
Our cells can create NAD when all the necessary nutrients are available, including vitamin B3 and the essential amino acid, tryptophan. However, the amount of NAD in our cells decreases over time.
