Why Worry About Hydration in Winter?

Studies have shown that people exercising in cold weather do not get as thirsty as when they exercise in warmer weather ~ yet they still require optimal hydration.

Our bodies are approximately 60% water, so the fluids we ingest play an essential role in our energy production, our exercise performance, and even our feelings.

You naturally lose fluids, nutrients, and electrolytes throughout your day. Add physical activity to the mix, and your body can really be at a deficit.

But I Drink Lots of Water

Workouts require more than plain water since replacing electrolytes is essential for optimal hydration. We lose electrolytes throughout the day ~ especially during exercise.

Good Hydration = Fluids + Electrolytes

Electrolytes are minerals that are vital for normal body function. Electrolytes control muscle contraction, play a critical role in regulating fluid balance and help the body absorb water more efficiently.

Electrolytes also regulate the body’s blood pH, blood pressure, recovery of damaged tissues, and nerve and muscle function.

Sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium are the most important electrolytes for supporting optimal hydration.

Why Add Electrolytes?

Active people can lose significant amounts of electrolytes, especially sodium and potassium in sweat.

Drinking water helps restore fluids but doesn’t replace electrolytes, which is why it’s important to replenish both water and electrolytes after exercise and throughout your day.

Whether it’s running a marathon or just Saturday errands, good hydration is for everyone ~ not just athletes. Good hydration is one of the easiest and most effective ways you can support your overall health.

Isagenix Hydrate ~ Naturally Better Hydration

This refreshing drink mix is available in four delicious flavors: Orange, Raspberry, Lemon Lime, and Watermelon (Hydrate + Hyaluronic Acid), and contains zero calories, and zero grams of sugar.

Made with natural ingredients. No artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners.

Hydrate is an electrolyte beverage that replenishes nutrients lost through daily activity better than water alone.

It provides essential electrolytes for proper balance to help you feel restored and replenished.

Hydrate Supplies Essential Electrolytes

Hydrate provides 1,625+ mg of total electrolytes per serving, featuring the essential minerals and electrolytes sodium (from Pink Himalayan Salt), potassium, magnesium, and chloride to maintain proper mineral balance and optimize hydration.

Sodium ~ The most highly concentrated electrolyte in sweat is sodium. Sodium is essential in producing the electrical potential that allows nerve cells to transmit impulses and muscles to contract.

Substantial sodium losses, such as those caused by heavy sweating, can lead to impaired mental and physical performance.

Chloride ~ maintains proper pH levels, stimulates stomach acid needed for digestion, stimulates the action of nerve and muscle cells, and facilitates the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide within cells.

Chloride also helps to regulate the amount of fluid and types of nutrients going in and out of the cells. So if your chloride levels drop, you can become dehydrated.

Potassium ~ Potassium is particularly important due to its role in regulating fluid and nutrient balance across cell membranes, which affects muscle and neuron activity.

Without enough potassium in the body, muscle cramping and weakness, along with low energy is common.

Magnesium ~ Magnesium is an essential mineral nutrient with many critical functions, including as an element in nerve and muscle function and as a cofactor in many enzymatic reactions throughout the body.

Hydrate + Hyaluronic Acid

As winter weather sets in, your skin may start feeling rough, dry, and chapped. With the right nourishment and protection, your skin can be healthier and more hydrated this season.

Hydrate + Hyaluronic Acid ~ Watermelon flavor only ~ provides all the same ingredients and benefits for optimal hydration that Hydrate does but with added support for skin health. It delivers a clinical amount of hyaluronic acid (165 mg) for more supple, hydrated skin.

Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our hair, nerves, joints, and skin. Hyaluronic acid helps hydrate skin by binding to water molecules and drawing water into the skin.

Both water and electrolytes are essential for hydration. Electrolytes help your body absorb water effectively and help to maintain normal fluid and mineral balance. Hydrate provides the electrolyte minerals your body needs for optimal hydration.
