Greetings from Carole Taylor ... your Weekly Update ~ September 19

Adaptogens are herbal ingredients that help to support mental and physical performance in stressful situations.

Many of these herbs have a long history of traditional use in cultures throughout the world and have recently become a topic of active scientific interest and research.

Adaptogenic Ingredients in Isagenix Products

The Isagenix commitment to incorporating the wellness benefits of adaptogens began with two of their very first products ~ Ionix Supreme and Cleanse For Life.

Since those overwhelming successes, adaptogens have played a major role in other Isagenix products ~ such as e+ Natural Energy Shot, BEA sparkling energy drink and most recently Adaptogen Elixir.

Here’s a deeper look at some of the adaptogens found in Isagenix Products:

Ashwagandha, or winter cherry, is considered one of the most prized Ayurvedic herbs in India. Recent studies have demonstrated its potent antioxidant effects and support for healthy brain and immune function.

Astragalus contains over 200 phytochemicals. Traditional Chinese Medicine has promoted astragalus for its beneficial impact for supporting the immune system, energy, and gastrointestinal health.

Bacopa extracts have been clinically demonstrated to improve cognition, particularly speed of attention, in healthy individuals. Popular in traditional Indian medicine practices for the enhancement of memory and to promote longevity.

Eleuthero, or Siberian ginseng, has been used in Chinese medicine for more than 2,000 years. Eleutherosides are responsible for endurance-enhancing effects, building stamina, and for protecting cells and organs against stress.

Rhodiola is traditionally used to strengthen the body’s resistance to stress and improve energy levels. A wide range of bioactive compounds are thought to give rhodiola its beneficial properties including antioxidants, polyphenols, and glycosides.

Schisandra berries contain over 65 potent bioactive phytonutrients, including lignans, polysaccharides, and vitamins. Research suggests these can support healthy immune functions, brain health, and the body’s response to stress.

Wolfberry or goji berry ~ regarded by ancients as nourishing to the liver, kidneys, and eyes ~ has alkaloids, chlorogenic acid, carotenoids, amino acids, terpenes, vitamins, and polysaccharides. Modern studies affirm its use in modulating stress and supporting faster recovery post-exercise.

The primary goal of product development for Isagenix is to incorporate scientifically supported natural substances into foods and supplements that customers can use to improve health and wellness.

By following the latest research findings, Isagenix has done just that in the case of Adaptogens, stress, immune health, and providing health-centric solutions.
